I'm too sexy for my bikes...
ALL of them !!
I'm Eric and I enjoy motorcycles, A LOT!!. Period!. I enjoy scouting for them, negotiating a steal of a price and purchasing them, restoring them mechanically and cosmetically, riding them once they're finished and selling some of them to do it again. I really love riding. I don't care what you ride: Jap, Brit, Harley... whatever kicks your tail and makes you happy on two wheels. When I get the need for speed, I hop on my Honda CB750 K8 and get my fix. That bike is ROCKET! I won't deny I also enjoy riding either one of my XLH 1000's early weekend mornings and catch the sun as it rises: neighbors just Love me! (sarcasm). I really like all the attention and clout I get when on a Harley-Davidson. I also won't deny I am extremely disappointed every time I see a dude on Harley NOT respond to a fellow riders salute just because the other guy is NOT on a Harley also. That's love for a brand name, not for riding. So IF you are one of those Harley guys I have described above, well then, get the #@%*&! off my page. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Harleys, I just don't like YOU!
If you are still here, and would like to take look at some COOL pics of motorcycles I have restored and ridden, just follow the links below. My collection's theme was "Racing Circuit Success Stories". I have restored and kept a 1975 Harley-Davidson XLH 1000 (the racing leader of the early and mid 60's) and a 1978 Honda SOHC-4 CB750K (the racing leader of the early 70's) . I was given a 1980 Honda DOHC-4 CB750C and I purchased another AMF XLH 1000 Sportster (a '75) to help me iron out some mechanical difficulties with the '76. If I get really crazy, I'll go for a late 40's Indian to represent the 1930's racing design. I found the remains of one in Tampa Bay, but the owner wants $2,500 for it. This bike is in sad shape! It looks like it was rescued from a fire AND buried in mud for the last 50 years. All the parts are there, but I'm just not sure if I want to get into that BIG a project next.
I was considering getting into a turn key operation and go with a Buell to represent the 1990's attempt at racing glory, but recent spinal surgery has me riding a lot less. I can't even wrench like I used to without reaching for the medicine cabinet for 2 weeks afterwards. Once I complete the repairs to the '76 XLH, I might go ahead and put a price tag on all 4 bikes for 1 money. I'll sell it as an estate collection or something like that. If you are interested in something like this, make me an offer! All 4 bikes are running cosmetically PERFECT, mechanically SOUND, and legally TITLED, in the State of Florida.
All the links below are my pages. All have navigational buttons on the very bottom so you won't get lost. Come back occasionally for updates. Look at the changes log for the most recent additions. Keep on riding ... chrome side up!!
